
The Disert Heritage Project will be conducting an archaeological excavation between 20 June and 15 July 2022. As part of this we are proud to present a series of events this summer:
Friday 24 June 2022 Meet the Diggers. We will be heading into O’Neill’s Bar, Letterbarrow from around 9pm. Why not call in and have a chat?
Tuesday 5 July 2022 Excavation guided tours at 4pm. Meet at Tymeen Football Field. Wear waterproof clothing and shoes. FREE
Friday 8 July 2022 Guest Speaker: “Entering the Otherworld: Myths, folklore and archaeology: a case study from south Co. Sligo, Ireland” Sam Moore, Atlantic Technological University. Guest Artist: Denise Nonomura, Canada. Denise will discuss her Artist’s Residency at Disert and will showcase her works-in-progress. Bluestack Centre, 7:30pm. FREE (but donations welcome).
